We recently went on our first trip to Diggerland Yorkshire.
It’s amazing how many rides they’ve come up with around the theme of diggers!
My little one loves diggers and trucks so I knew he’d really enjoy it here. There’s all the normal diggers, where you can dig in the mud, dig for treasure and also ride on dumper trucks.
There’s loads of other rides including;
🚘 mini Land Rovers,
🏗 Sky Shuttle crane ride,
🚓 police car ride
🚜 mini tractors
🏎 go-karts and
🚂 Diggerland train.
There’s also an indoor soft play area included in the admission price.
I would say the one watch out is on height restrictions. Lots of rides have minimum heights. It is very limited for children under 90cm and therefore there is no charge for those children. There is a little tykes play area, some smaller rides and soft play but they have to be over a certain height to go on the diggers, even with an adult. They’ve got a good website where you can look on the rides page, select the height of your child and you’ll be able to see what they can go on. We waiting until my little one was 90cm and there was 10 rides he could go on. Because over 90cm is full price entrance I would say you’d get your full money‘s worth if you waited till your kids are 100cm+. Saying that we had a brilliant day as there’s plenty to do, for all ages.
Diggerland is mostly outside so keep that in mind when you planning your visit, although there is the indoor soft play area. They are now (September) just open on weekends and throughout October half term and then they close early November for the winter.
