We had a fab trip to Jersey in the Channel Islands over the August bank holiday weekend. I felt like the island was a really family friendly place.

We spent a lot of our time on the beach 🏖 going to a different one every day. For such a small island there are so many amazing beaches. We’d also been recommended Jersey Zoo which was great. One afternoon we went to Coronation Park which had an outdoor pool and two play areas, one specifically for little ones with low level climbing frames and sunken trampolines. I often feel quite anxious in parks as my little one always wants to go on the biggest things so this was perfect.

We even managed to have a night out just the two of us which is something we very rarely do.

We came home tired but happy with lots of lovely memories.

The flight from Leeds was 55 minutes so I’d definitely recommend Jersey if you are looking for a family holiday not too far away.

Big shout out to Harriet & Rose who shared her top tips with us. Also to Little Ouen Baby Hire who we hired a travel cot from (Melanie was fab and they have everything you could possibly need).

One thing I would say is we stayed with family so had access to a car. Although small it is quite a remote island so you may want to consider hiring a car. If not there are plenty of buses. I’d probably recommend you position yourself in the South, somewhere like Saint Brelade’s Bay.
